London: Jonathan Cape, 1955. After World War One and the war in the Hejaz, Lawrence of Arabia transformed himself into Airman Ross of the RAF; these are his diaries from that period, published posthumously. This is a Very Good copy of the First Edition. Gray cloth binding with gilt titling on the spine; stamped bird in flight on the front cover. Clean text; 206 pages. Faded around the margins and spine; corners a bit bumped. A solid copy, with very fresh textblock, but not pristine, and lacking the dustwrapper. Size: 4to - over 9¾" - 12" tall. First Edition. Hard Cover. Very Good/No Jacket.
