Item description from seller

Firs edition. First printing (so stated on copyright page) of the author's first book. Very good copy in original publisher's cloth with dust jacket. Sacks both revolutionized and popularized the understanding of the malleability of the brain. Humboldt, the globe-trotting natural scientist looking for natural laws, might be the best parallel to Sacks. This copy is in very good condition in a very good dust jacket with intact price on the front inside flap. There is a small ping in the upper edge of the front board which carries over very lightly to the first couple of pages.
