Claxton.Hardback, 1911, first edition, illustrated, published by Blackie and Son Limited, London, 195 pages + xii and 40-page publisher catalogue at rear.Measures around 8 3/4" by 6 3/8" by 1". No dust jacket. Olive-green cloth binding, black detail and lettering to front board, gilt lettering to spine. Some discolouration to spine and areas of discolouration, scuffing and marking to boards. Some tearing to outer hinges and upper and lower spine edges. Signs of shelf-wear, bumped and torn corners. Book has slight forward tilt. Some slackness to spine but binding reasonably firm, though strained in places. Page edges browned, foxed and scuffed. Previous owner name inscribed to front free endpaper, a couple of pencil characters to title page.
