About this Item
First Edition (SD, NAP, Reinhold Publishing= NAP). As you can see from the photos, the black covers are in very nice condition. I don't see any soiling. The silver lettering on the spine is nicely bright. The spine ends have just a little bit of the usual crinkling. The cover edges are in very nice shape. The rear top edge has a tiny white line. The corners are free of rubbing. There's a tiny crease above both bottom corners. The page edges have a little bit of toning and a few tanned areas. There's one small tan spot on the top page edge. The book is very solidly bound from cover to cover with nicely tight pages throughout and nicely tight covers as well. The semi-glossy pages are in excellent shape. Scrolling through, I'm not finding any soiling. I'm not seeing any creasing. There are no markings. No attachments of any kind. And no one has written their name or anything else anywhere in the book. These are the chapter headings: The General Nature of Steel, Steel Quality As Related to Method of Manufacture, Steel Quality As Related to Ingot Practice, Chemical Composition and Control, Steel Quality As Related to Rolling Practices, Inspection Procedures Used To Determine Steel Quality, The Mechanical Testing of Steel, Thermal Critical Points and Solid Solution Changes, Annealing, Normalizing and Spheroidizing, The Effects of Alloying and Incidental Elements, The Hardening of Steel, Hardenability, Special Characteristics of Steel, General Characteristics of Standard Steel Grades.
