8vo 8" - 9" tall; HC in original blue cloth with title lettering and rules in gilt to cover and spine. Square sound copy; slightly cocked in the spine. Printed on laid paper by Donnelly. Top edge of title page and contents page have staple perforations where an article or related epehemeral piece had been attached. Prior owner's neat manuscript signature to front endpage. Periodic penciled marginalia at the lower margins of some pages reads as if written by Ayn Rand. Prior owner was in serious disagreement with the author of this progressive tract which documented wide scale, international social woes but addressed them in a local, personal setting. The rather intense marginal annotations give some vibrancy to the text and provide a rich contemporary context. Book condition is VG-.
