This booklet was published by the Deutsche Arbeitsfront (German Labor Front), the National Socialist trade union organization which replaced the various trade unions of the Weimar Republic after Adolf Hitler's rise to power. Publisher's emblem with swastika on title page. Publication in the series "The Beautiful Village (Das schà ne Dorf)" edited by Bruno Malitz. Text on the subject of the beautiful village in relation to the migrations to the city, the tasks and care for the village, social and cultural support, improvement of the village apartment and working place. Illustrated with 17 descriptive b/w photographs of village houses from various parts of Germany as well as leisure and educational activities. Text in German, Gothic script.
