Mensa Mind Games Activity Pack for Kids – Sealed – Philip Carter – Carlton Books 1998/2000 – ISBN 185868448X – Rare Vintage Mensa Educational Puzzle Pack Author: Philip Carter (with Mensa, Robert Allen & Ken Russell) Format: Activity Pack (sealed in original clear plastic wrap) Condition: New / Sealed / Mint – Never opened. Pristine collector-grade example. Minor shelf wear to outer plastic only, as expected for a 25+ year old sealed pack. For sale is an exceptionally rare, still-sealed example of the Mensa Mind Games Activity Pack for Kids (also marketed as the Mensa Activity Pack for Kids or Mensa Junior Activity Pack), published by Carlton Books Ltd in the late 1990s. This interactive educational pack was specially created by Mensa (the international high-IQ society) in collaboration with prolific Mensa puzzle author Philip Carter (often credited alongside Robert Allen and Ken Russell). Philip Carter is one of the world’s most respected and prolific creators of logic, IQ, and brain-training puzzles, with hundreds of Mensa titles to his name spanning decades. The pack was designed to make learning fun while sharpening maths skills, shape and pattern recognition, vocabulary, logic, and problem-solving for children. What’s Inside (visible through the sealed plastic wrap in the photos): • A full-color 72-page activity book packed with over 100 fun puzzles, games, and exercises to stretch young brains. • A double-sided games board (one side features the exciting space-themed “Race to the Moon” board game with numbered spiral track, planets, and space stations). • 90 cards including numbered/lettered puzzle cards, math challenge cards, shape recognition cards, and more • 64 counters (32 yellow numbered + 32 blue). • 2 spinners (to assemble) and 4 dice templates (you make them yourself – instructions included). • Full instructions and “What You Need” section (pencil and crayons suggested for some activities). The back cover (yellow background) includes the original £12.99 price, safety warning, “This is a CARLTON Pack” label, barcode, “Manufactured in China” note, and detailed teaser images of the contents and games. It remains one of the most engaging and high-quality Mensa-branded children’s activity sets from the era – perfect for homeschooling, gifted children, rainy-day fun, or as a unique addition to a vintage educational toy or Mensa collection. Rarity Note: This title is long out-of-print and surprisingly scarce, especially in sealed/new condition; a pristine sealed pack like this is a true find for collectors of retro 1990s–2000s educational games, Carlton Books packs, or Mensa memorabilia. A wonderful piece of educational nostalgia from Mensa and Carlton Books – still factory-fresh after 25+ years! Ideal for parents, teachers, puzzle enthusiasts, or anyone wanting to introduce children to high-quality brain games.…
