Condition: Fair. 1930. First Edition. 317 pages. No dust jacket. Blue cloth with gilt lettering to spine. Contains black and white photographic plates. Notable hole to spine. Gilt upper text block edge. Pages are lightly tanned with mild foxing to endpapers and text block edges. Pencil inscription to front free endpaper and paste-down, with a few small nicks along text block edge. Moderate cracking to gutters with exposed netting. Binding remains firm. Pencil mark on page 304. Plates are bright and clear, with slight tanning to edges. Boards have heavy shelf-wear with notable bumping and scuffing to corners, crushing to spine ends and considerate rub wear to surfaces. Liquid drops on front board, with a hole to spine.
