Vol. 1. Pp.494; Vol. 2. 528. Frontis lacking. Vol. 1. only of 2. Qtr. calf and marbled boards. Light wear& stains. Else good. Previous owner John Reynolds has signed vol. 1 on flyleaf. His stamp is in both vols. Neat Perma stamp of Green and Goodlands Library 16 Clare Street, Dublin on verso of frontis of vol. 2. This famous bookshop was opened by John Greene, bookseller and librarian. Greene established his lending library in 1843. It subsequently became 'Greene's Bookshop' which operated at this address in Clare Street until May 2007. It moved to premises in Sandyford industrial estate until the summer of 2012 when it ceased trading.
