Hardback. First Edition. Message to previous owner to inside covers. Very slight shelf wear to top edge of D/J. Price clipped to D/J. Obviously readers are fascinated by these artistic interpretations of the old and interesting buildings of our cities.as well as the historic and human interest stories which accompany them. In this book, the author has caught the mood of 29 of Melbourne's best-known features, from Young & Jackson's to Government House, and portrayed them with his usual incisive fluency of line. Every sketch is accompanied by W. H. Newnham's breezy commentary, full of the quaint facts and little-known stories which lie behind the Melbourne of today. Illustrations. 63 pp. (We carry a wide selection of titles in The Arts, Theology, History, Politics, Social and Physical Sciences. academic and scholarly books and Modern First Editions ,and all types of Academic Literature.).
