Near fine in a very good dust jacket. First Edition stated on the copyright page. Caldecott Medal book. Wonderful black and white illustrations throughout. Dust jacket has original price of $2.00 printed on the front flap. Moderate chipping at the corners and spine ends. A small piece missing on top of front panel and also bottom of back panel, and apiece missing at top of rear panel too. A couple of closed tears. Some wear along edges, corners and spine.
