In brown cloth with gilt titles to spine and black titles and decoration to front. The book has been rebound and the part of the spine with the titles has been reused. 323 pp. with numerous black and white illustrations. There is some shelf-wear to the extremities of the cover and the front and back covers are creased. The feps are missing. There is liquid spill damage to the bottom right corner which starts by extending 2" up the corner of the front cover and slowly dies out by p. 140. This is an ex library copy and has a small label to the spine and a number of small stamps to the front matter and last page.
