PRICE REDUCED. An important work on the principles and practice of rural land management in the UK in the very early 19th century. Marshall wrote extensively on agriculture and land economy and was the first to approach the subject with a business management perspective. This copy in absolutely original state, as issued by the publishers: paper-backed blue/grey boards with remains of hand-written title on spine. Ownership inscription 'John Goodford 1807 Yeovil' on front paste-down. 448 pages, 29 diagrams (mainly of drainage methods) of which one is a folding plate showing ideal layout of a farmstead. Text free from foxing or damp. Covers worn and corners frayed. I have described this copy as 'very good' because of the condition of the text, not the binding.
