Book: large dampstain bleaching front and black covers from one to two inches from the outside edge; a bit of fraying to spine tip; text clean and tight. DJ: Lightly soiled, chipping at spine head, cover looks almost flawless; "7/7" written in blue pencil at the top of the spine over the book title. *** From cover blurb: "In all the annals of crime there has never been another felon quite like Victor Lustig. His unique arsenal of talents--the polish of a diplomat, the theatrical instinct of a master showman, the morals of a tiger shark--enabled him to baffle the police of two continents for over twenty years. […] James Johnson was an agent of the U.S. Secret Service and played a central role in the case which finally brought Lustig to justice.".
