The Text Block is white, reasonably tight, straight and square, with pale green topstain, deckled fore-edges, and no markings of any kind other than erased pencil marks on the front free endpaper. The Bind is full green cloth with a slightly darkened spine, and paper paste-on title and author's name to spine, showing wear at corners and head and heal of spine. No Dust Jacket. See photos. 244 pages. 5 1/4" x 7 5/8". One of Shaw's major plays which has been much revived, it intertwines ideas of Nietzsche with the Don Juan story, the Third Act even featuring Don Juan in Hell debating the devil, Dona Ana and the statue.
