(London: Lawrence & Wishart 1957). First UK Edition in dustwrapper priced 10s 6d net to the inside flap. Publisher's dark pink boards with gilt lettering to the spine. Tightly bound. No inscriptions. Boards clean. Overall a near fine copy. The VG+ dustwrapper is a bright and clean example with a few, tiny silverfish chips to the rear flap fold-over. Still a nice copy. Doherty's second novel features a few hours in a man's life -- a miner trapped in the workings by a fall of coal. Photographs/scans available upon request.
