Item description from seller

About the Author: Ansel Adams was an extraordinary environmentalist and photographer, having been set on the path after being given a camera during a trip to Yosemite National Park. A firm believer that one "makes" rather than "takes" a photograph, Adams went on to establish the photography department in the MOMA (The Museum of Modern Art, New York City) and helped establish the medium as a serious art form. About This Edition: First Edition of Ansel Adam's Making a Photograph, scarce, and in good condition in comparison to other examples of the book. Edgewear to front and rear covers of book, some sunning to spine and text block. Publisher's illustrated boards, hardback, no dust-jacket as issued.
