Item description from seller

Doubleday, Doran & Co. Garden City, New York. 1930. 225 pages. First Edition stated, first printing. Book is tight. Binding and hinges are strong and sound. Endpapers are clean and bright. Faint bookseller code in pencil on FFEP. Black cloth covered boards withbright yellow title box on front cover and backstrip. Rear corner shows tiny loss of cloth at corner tip. Foster's classic Wall Street title written just before the Great Crash in 1929 and subsequently held until February 1930 for publication; in the seminal phase of the Great Depression. As a result Doubleday published only a tiny print run as the majority of America had lost faith in the stock market. Topics include but are not limited to: Reading the ticker tape, gambling, speculating, stock analysis, market action, seasonal plays, manipulation, pyramiding, hedging, charting, economic conditions affecting the market, swing plays, etc. etc. A VG+ copy with noted flaw. Vintage Wall Street.
