113pp + xvi prelims. Printed on cream wove hand-made paper in a limited numbered edition of 1000 copies. This is copy #120. Bound in green buckram with gilt lettering on spine and gilt illustration on front cover. Green flecks on top page edge. Untrimmed fore edge and lower page edges. Red and yellow sewn headbands. Illustrations by John Piper, including frontispiece. Tightly bound. Previous owner's book plate on front paste down. Two original book shop labels on rear paste down - W. & G. Foyle Ltd and Selfridges Bookshop (both London). Unclipped light blue dust jacket with red lettering on face and on sun toned spine. Horizontal tear to spine of dust jacket and wear to top and tail of spine. Age toning to dust jacket margins. All now protected in clear archival wraps.
