Hardback. First Edition. My Mad World of Opera. Through his workl Harold Rosenthal has met the leading personalities of the operatic world and seen the import productions and performances of the last thirty years. It is an impressive record and, together with his critical mind and 'mania for order and figures', it gives him an encyclopaedic knowledge that few could equal. It is this breadth of experience that will make his book essential reading for everyone involved in the mad world of opera while his puckish sense of humour and his relish for the ludicrous will also make it a delight. With 8 pages of balck and white illustrations. 234 pp. (We carry a wide selection of titles in The Arts, Theology, History, Politics, Social and Physical Sciences. academic and scholarly books and Modern First Editions, Reference books ,and all types of Academic Literature.).
