Macmillan's History Class Pictures. Prehistoric Man to King Harold of England. Published by Macmillan & Co in 1963. Plates 1 - 60. A complete set presented in a red cardboard folder. With accompanying reference book arranged and edited by George Lay and interior green paper folder with label attached. Each poster measures 43 x 53 cms or 21 x 17 inches. Condition: Very Good. The corners of the folder are creased and torn but the whole holds together well. The label on thr front is water damaged. The green paper interior folder is slightly torn.The label on this folder is fresh and clean. The plates have staple holes along the top edge. Some have pin holes at the corners where they were fixed to a board or wall. They are occasionally marked by dark spots of foxing at the extreme edge of the white surround. There are other blemishes. Two plates have closed tears at the edge which have been repaired using archival tape. The surface of all are lightly creased. All the coloured parts of the plates remain fresh and clean. The accompanying book is fresh and clean. A previous owners name is written in biro on the first end paper. Seller Inventory # 001369
