First impression of the true first edition. ***Very good in red cloth-covered bards with gilt titles to spine and front board. Owner's name and address on front free endpaper. Couple of very small black ink dots to fore-edge of front free endpaper. No rear endpaper, as issued. Book produced to war-economy standards on cheap paper. Spine tight. ***In a very good black and white illustrated dustwrapper that has not been price-clipped, showing the original publisher's price of 5/- net. Edges of dustwrapper slightly rubbed, nicked and creased. Rear panel of dustwrapper marked and discoloured. Small closed tear to bottom edge of rear panel of dustwrapper. 2mm closed tear to top edge of rear panel of dustwrapper. Tiny loss, chips and creasing to head of spine of dustwrapper. For all our books, postage is charged at cost, allowing for packaging materials; any shipping rates indicated on ABE are an average only; for the UK, our standard rate is for first class, and the priority rate includes tracked (signed for) delivery; for International sales, our standard rate is for Airmail delivery, and the priority rate is for tracked (International signed for) delivery. We would prefer that you choose the priority rate (tracked option) for higher value books of say �50 or more.
