Published in 1920, this is the report from the Chief Inspector of Mines, giving details of mining and quarrying accidents and safety reports Also includes a detailed account of the explosion at Oxcroft Colliery, Creswell, Derbyshire in which six miners lost their lives, and others seriously injured, the report includes a folding plan, and a smaller plan detailing the accident. The whole of the general report runs to 200 pages, just over 13 inches tall. Packed with fascinating information relating to the mining over 100 years ago The paper covers have some tears with minor loss, spine panel darkened with some loss to the paper covering, internally mild moisture staining to leading page edges for the first half of the report else contents in good general condition.
