First edition. viii, 344 pages. Hardcover; H 24cm x L 16cm. Dust jacket soiled and heavily foxed particularly upon front panel, a few nicks and short tears at edges, past bookseller's price in wax pencil at top of front flap. Red cloth spine with strongly toned striped boards. Dark top edge; some foxing upon fore-edge with dark stain at head which likewise shallowly penetrates interior top margins of rear leaves. Foxing and toning to endpapers; past owner's ink signature at top of front pastedown. With Introduction and Index. Features twelve chapters divided into three sections titled as "On Affect, Anxiety, and the Pleasure Principle," "On the Two Basic Perceptual Modes: Autocentricity and Allocentricity," and "On Attention and Memory." A good+ copy in only a good dust jacket.
