Black cloth boards with gilt blocked titles to spine,240 x 160 mm approx. 288 pp. Portrait b/w photo frontis + 11 other b/w illustrations as called for. Undated [1933] First Edition. Attributed by reference to date in pencil to rear paste down 10/33. Booksellers of new books in the "good old days" invariably inserted the month and year of the publication date in pencil to the rear paste down. Of the few other copies of this scarce biography we can find the publication date has erroneously been given as 1928 but that we believe is part of the publisher's incorporated name. Trinity College Dublin have attributed as 1930 (per Copac). Autobiography of the Italian born detective who was head of the NYPD Italian Squad in the 1920's.
