First edition hard back binding in publisher's original navy blue paper covers, gilt title and author lettering to the spine. 8vo. 9'' x 6''. Contains 414 printed pages of text. Ex City of London Police, Snow Hill Library copy with oblong ink stamp to both paste downs and pocket to the rear end paper only. Spine ends turned-in, age darkening to the closed page edges. Very Good condition book in near Fine condition panoramic art work dust wrapper with a little wear to the edges of the upper panel only, not price clipped. Dust wrapper supplied in archive acetate film protection, this preserves and prolongs the life of the paper, it is not adhered to the book or to the dust wrapper. Member of the P.B.F.A. ISBN 0340201789 MODERN FIRST EDITIONS.
