Stunningly beautiful rebound set of 1st editions in Burgundy leather with raised spine compartments showing titles, author and JRRT Monogram, Gilt ring and eye device to front boards, page edges all gilt and housed in a custom made clam shell case again in matching Burgundy leather with raised spine compartments titles and JRRT monogram. Clean condition throughout, no faults or inscriptions and all maps present. All 3 books are very early matching 1961 printings, The Fellowship a 10th printing of the 1st edition, The Two Towers a 8th Printing of the 1st edition and The Return of the King a 7th printing of the 1st edition. Text block clean throughout, looks unread, marbled endpapers. The binding and clam shell plus gilt page edges would cost around �2000 alone. Please see photos and ask for any more.
