About this Item
British second edition (first edition to be published by Dent & Sons), first printing, 1917. First thus. Originally published by Blackwood and Sons in 1900. No jacket as issued. This edition has the new author's note dated June 1917. Green boards with black lettering and design to spine and front are only good with pushing/bumping to corners, one small (approx. 3cms) split to the cloth near front of spine, the odd small mark, three very small pinprick sized holes in the cloth to spine, the odd small bump/rub to edges, a little patchy darkening (including to spine), the odd small rub to cloth and a little wear (pushing/rubbing/fraying/very small splits to the cloth) to head/tail of spine. Some spine lean. Pages are generally clean and the binding is tight (slightly pulled in places). Rough cut page edges (which has caused the odd very small tear/chip). Small mark to lower corner of a few pages. Inside boards/end-papers tanned with the odd small mark/minor foxing. Odd small mark/spot of foxing to page edges and bottoms. Pages bit tanned. Occasional small mark/scattered foxing to pages. No other faults. All books described honestly and accurately. Paypal accepted. Seller Inventory # 007968
