Octavo (19.6cm); illustrated dust jacket with $2.00 price intact; boards in publisher's decorated brown and beige cloth with black lettering; brown topstain [viii],146pp. Jacket edgeworn with a few tears along and at head of spine, chipping at tail and along edges of flaps, a few creases, a small pen-squiggle to rear panel, and scattered scuffing and smudging to surface; tape repair along flap edges with a small strip to front. Boards lightly shelfworn with nudging at spine ends. Endpapers toning. Binding is sound and pages unmarked. Signed by the author on front free endpaper with inscription "For Joe's sister, Fay Friedley (?), with friendly greetings. Robert Nathan.".
