The first edition.Illustrated with a monochrome frontispiece, monochrome vignettes, and five monochrome plates. Collated, complete.Previously owned by George W. Marshall, The York Herald from 1904-5, Rouge Dragon Pursuivant and author of 'The Genealogist's Guide', with his bookplate to the front pastedown.In the publisher's original cloth.This scarce historical work was edited by W. P. W. Phillimore and discusses the antiquarian and historical interests of London and Middlesex. The basis of the work was the research carried out by the London and Middlesex Archaeological society. In the publisher's original cloth. Externally very smart with rubbing to the extremities. Offsetting and spotting to the endpapers with the bookplate of 'George W. Marshall' to the front pastedown. Internally generally firmly bound with only the slightest strain to the verso of the title page. Pages bright with spotting. Very Good Indeed.
