From the Author
The people photographed and interviewed in the book "LIVING TREASURES: Celebration Of The Human Spirit" serve as inspiring role models for everyone in any walk of life. They represent people who are friendly neighbors, dedicated social workers, artists, muscians, gardeners, and many more. They are people who have made a difference in the world by doing what they like to do best. I have personally been inspired by each of these people. Each Living Treasure found that somehow money came as a result of doing what he/she REALLY wanted to do in life. For those of us who have had the excuse "but, how am I going to make a living?" the people in this book are powerful witnesses to the fact that a very wonderful living happens when following the heart's desire. The photographs were taken with a medium format camera, a Rollie SL66. This particular camera has a bellows and a tilting lens board. Kodak Tri-X was the film. A modified Zone System was used in the exposure and processing of the film. Combining images occured at the dry mounting phase, not with the negatives.
