No date shown but believed to be post 1897. This first edition is specially bound in contrasting buckram with red leather titling piece with gilt lettering. Gilt number '7' on spine and the spine has darkened over time. Inside the front board there is a armorial bookplate of Milman (author), almost certainly the author's own copy. Beautiful coloured marble effect paper inside both front and rear boards together with many lovely sketches throughout. A very nice tight copy and a very collectable item. Seller Inventory # 004283
