First Edition. Inscribed and signed by the author film director Tay Garnett to fellow film director David Bradley. Inscribed: ÒTo David Bradley - a good friend when the chips are down. Tay Garnett.Ó With recipientÕs ownership stamp. Fine in a near fine dust jacket with some slight fading to the spine and a touch of edge wear. Laid in is a clipping of a moving memorial article about the life and work of Tay Garnett by author and film historian Charles Higham from the Los Angeles Times dated Oct. 16, 1977, nearly two weeks after GarnettÕs passing. Garnett was best known for his film The Postman Always Rings Twice. David Bradley directed such cult classics as They Saved HitlerÕs Brain and Dragstrip Riot.
