Ex-library. Some library labels, stamps and markings. Library blind-stamp on title leaf and frontispiece of each volume. Some rubbing and small abrasions to corners of boards and ends of spine. Chips to the marbled paper along edges of boards.; Uncommon. Two volumes (complete). Volume One: xv, [1], 319, [1 (blank)] pages + chromolithograph frontispiece "The Worshipping of the Volcano". Volume Two: viii, 303, [1 (blank)] pages + chromolithograph frontispiece "The Wodono Examining a Prisoner." Both volumes: red half-morocco leather bindings and marbled pastepaper boards. Top page edges gilt. Marbled endpapers. Page dimensions: 184 x 119mm.
