LETTERS CONVERSATIONS AND RECOLLECTIONS OF S.T. COLERIDGE 1836 HARPER & BROS. I am pleased to offer for your consideration a truly vintage book giving insight into Samuel Taylor Coleridge, the man and his times. The book is titled: Letters, Conversations and Recollections of S. T. Coleridge, published anonymously here but research shows that it was compiled by someone known as Coleridge s favorite disciple, namely Thomas Allsop. In addition to the actual words of Coleridge, in his letters and other statements, the editor Allsop also provides his own interpretations of the famous author. This small hard cover book (4 ¾ x 7 ¾ inches, 266 pages) was published by Harper & Brothers, dated 1836 and is presumably, the First American Edition. The book is bound in khaki green cloth with a checkered pattern to the boards and a paste-down paper title label on the spine. Condition: This book is in good condition, just good. The hard covers are dust-dulled, soiled & stained and bumped all-round. The paper title label on the spine is darkened and chipped and barely legible. Inside, the book is unmarked but foxed on many pages while others are not and still bright; all pages, however, are still legible (please be sure to see the photos). Both hinges, amazingly, are still intact and the binding is tight and sound. This book is not ex-library or a remainder. …
