A Letter from James. by Mona Anderson. Publisher: A H & A W Reed, Wellington, New Zealand 1972, First Edition, second impression. Very good hardback, couple of minor marks, small pen 12 and a P inside. Jacket has a little edgewear and slight fading to spine. 200 pages, illustrated. This is a warm family history, essentially about the author's grandmother Susannah Tarling, who migrated to New Zealand (Lyttelton Harbour) in 1880, and her descendents. Although frail in body, she showed magnificent strength of character as her misfortunes in new colonial Canterbury are revealed. Book includes over 30 illustrations. All books are sent free by courier postage within New Zealand. ALL PHOTOS ARE OF THE ACTUAL BOOK.
