Add to basketA poem of St Swithin, with the wonderful illustrations of John Faed. First edition. John Faed, R.S.A. (31 August 1819 22 October 1902) was a Scottish painter. His paintings, popular in Victorian Britain, can today be found in private and public collections, including the National Gallery of Scotland. Previous owner's inscription to front free endpaper reads "Harold Stevenson, June 1893". In original cloth covered binding with beautiful gilt decoration to front board. Externally, sound with slight bumping and wear to extremities. Internally, binding loosening in places. Ink marks to front endpaper. Tissue guard of frontis missing. Bright with the occasional handling mark. Good Only.
