As a longtime firearms instructor, I have found that bad habits are formed over time or formed without proper instruction. About the Author: Captain Walker is the Owner/Operator and Chief Firearms Instructor of the East Texas Tactical Firearms Training School. He has been in the Law Enforcement profession since 1993. He holds a Master Peace Officer’s Certificate, TCOLE Firearms Certification as well as an Advanced Instructor’s License and Texas CHL/LTC Instructors Certificate. He has taught numerous firearms courses in his career, including basic, intermediate, and advanced handgun, AR-15 type rifle shooting, patrol rifle, and shotgun courses. Captain Walker is an armorer for both Glock and AR-15 weapon systems and has worked as a SWAT Officer for 12 years, 10 of which were spent as the team’s Assistant Commander and Sniper.
