A very good copy of the first hard cover edition (the dates on the title and copyright pages correspond: 1913), lacking a dust-jacket.Previous owner's name etc. modestly in ink atop the front free endpaper. Marginal strikes in pencil at scattered paragraphs throughout the text; faint stain in the gutter of the first few pages, with discoloration of a portion of the half-title page due to a laid-in newspaper clipping.
