About this Item
Green cloth on boards with silver titling on spine. Book is tight, square and free of flaws other than prior owner's name and address (Bangor) on the flyleaf. Black endpapers, top page edges stained black. Multiple music pieces included with scores and lyrics, maps too, showing the North Woods, the Miramichi, the Union River in Hancock County, and the neighboring Maritime provinces of Canada. This is the biography of this amazing folk composer who knew the trades of the woods: lumbering, sawmilling, and river drives. Great for a Maine/New Brunswick collection. Fairly scarce.
