FIRST EDITION (1926). 4to, 260 x 200, 10 x 8 inches, 2 full page coloured plates, 2 full page plates in red and black, 24 line illustrations in text, 32 pages, original publisher's cream boards with extra colour plate on upper cover, list of other books in the series on lower cover. Fragile spine slightly worn at head and tail with tiny splits at head, small split in lower hinge neatly glued, corners slightly worn, endpapers faintly browned, neat name on endpaper, 4 black and white text illustrations neatly water-coloured, small piece torn off lower corner of 1 text page, no loss of text. Overall a very good tight copy of an uncommon Attwell title. The text and illustrations were probably taken from the annuals which Partridge published from 1922 to 1932. Contains 1 poem and 2 stories by Attwell, the rest by Agnes Grozier Herbertson, John Lea and others. All the illustrations are by Attwell. See Chris Beetles, Mabel Lucie Attwell, page 117.
