The book was very successful in the UK, and was reprinted three times in 1988 (the year of publication) and twice more in 1989 before this printing. Translated from the Spanish by Edith Grossman. ***Near fine in forest-green cloth-covered boards with gilt titles to the spine. The boards are clean with just light handling marks to the front board. Head and tail of spine just slightly creased. Corners sharp. Page block edges unusually clean. Internally also near fine with no inscriptions. No foxing. Pages clean. Spine tight with no reading creases. ***In a very good colour illustrated dustwrapper, which has not been price-clipped, retaining the original publisher's printed price of £11.95 net. The dustwrapper is complete and undamaged, with just very slight creasing at the extremities. No chips or tears. A couple of small indentations to the front panel at the edge of the spine. The spine of the dustwrapper is hardly faded at all [much less than is often found with this title].
