First edition. Original black boards in photographic dustwrapper. A fine copy in a near fine dustwrapper, with a little surface wear and a very short closed tear to the rear panel. The second play of Orton's to be staged, Loot was described at the time as "quick witted, pungent and sprightly entertainment" (Evening Standard). It was the winner of the 1966 Evening Standard Drama Award for the best play of 1966 and has since become regarded as a comic masterpiece. Seller Inventory # 33084
