Excellence with Economy has been the motto of the publishers and the editor. The Omnibus is a small library at the price of one large book (Weight Over 1 Kg). Every section of the book will probably have been heard of by somebody, but nobody will have read it all. It represents the literature of England from the 1920-30s with novels, a novelette, a play, short stories, and essays featuring A.P. Herbert, Rebecca West, Virginia Woolf, Max Beerbohm, William Ronghead, Noel Coward, Wells, Huxley, Maugham, T.S. Elliot, Hugh Walpole and more including P.G. Wodehouse.
