Dark red cloth with gilt-lettered spine and impressed lettering to front, main fault is a few small patches of piigment loss towards bottom front edge, minor rubbing to extremities and outer edges otherwise clean and unworn. half-title with 'Studies in Economics and Political Science/ Edited by W.A.S. Hewins, M.A./ Director of the London School of Economics and Political Science' to top, verso has L.S.E. details + t.p. with series list to verso + viii (inc. all prelims) + 90 + (1, list of Sidney and Beatrice Webb publications by various publishers), 4 'Maps' ex-pagination, these however are actually tables, two unfolding), 14 'Graphic schemes', also ex-pagination, and full spread 'Sheets of Information' on various occupations from p.56 - 83; 2 very faint, partly illegible, penciled lines across top verso front end-paper which may be contemporary, otherwise internally clean, tight and unmarked with no indications of provenance, 'Map' sheets lightly tanned.
