First edition, 382pp., bound in a blue pictorial cloth over beveled boards depicting a bouquet of purple flowers with a bird flying and lettering in gilt, pictorial gilt spine, foral endpapers, nicely illustrated throughout in black and white, a very nice copy with light finger soiling to edges of covers and pages, light wear to corners and spine tips, spine cocked just a bit. Contemporary Previous owner's name with date indicating purchase prior publication date, probaly an early Christmas release.
