The Letters of Marsilio Ficino Vol 2 (Liber III) is a remarkable collection of correspondence from one of the Renaissance’s most influential thinkers. Marsilio Ficino (1433–1499), a Florentine philosopher and priest, was pivotal in reviving Platonism during the Italian Renaissance. This volume gathers his letters, which offer a window into the intellectual and spiritual life of the time. Ficino’s letters were not just personal notes—they were philosophical essays, spiritual guidance, and reflections on human nature, the soul, and divine love. He corresponded with a wide circle of scholars, artists, and political figures, including members of the Medici family, and his influence extended to later luminaries like Shakespeare, Botticelli, and Michelangelo. These letters were translated from the Latin by members of the Language Department of the School of Economic Science, London.
