Seller rating 5 out of 5 stars 5-star rating, Learn more about seller ratings

Hardcover. Condition: Near fine. First Edition. Octavo, 3 volumes. Limited slipcased set, issued simultaneously with the one-volume trade edition, and without dust jackets. All three volumes near fine in the publisher's speckled off-white cloth, with some isolated foxing to the spines. Contents clean, fresh, and unmarked. In the publisher's slipcase, gently toned at the edges, but sound; near fine. The title novella is Harrison's best-known work, a gut-wrenching family tale which ties together the ugliness of America's westward expansion and the tragedy of World War I. Made into an award-winning film starring Brad Pitt and Anthony Hopkins. Apparently issued in an edition of 1,000 sets, there is no limitation statement, but it is distinctly less common than the one-volume trade edition. Seller Inventory # 13347
