Ex-Wellcome Institute library but stamps verso t.p.s & end of texts only, though do faintly show through to t.p. rectos, bar-code labels bottom fr. pastedowns - removeable in principle but damage to underlying brown graphite paper likely to ensue. Back hinge Vol.1 weak w. joint cracked externally and internal exposure of netting to front gutter, plus some creasing top inner corner; covers otherwise generally clean- a faint white smudge cover Vol.2 being about the sum of it, clean w. bright gilt profile of Sydenham on the series blind-stamped covers. Rear cover problem with Volume 1 is however rather serious.
