Frontispiece is in colour with the following four plates in black and white. Written by Joan Leslie the author of 'Peggy's Romance' and several other twentieth century novels. Presumed first edition. In original pictorial cloth binding. Externally, smart with bumping to the head and tail of spine as well as to the extremities. Spine has faded. Slight rubbing to the joints. Ring mark to the rear board from a prior owner's glass or mug. Offsetting to endpapers. Gift inscription to the recto of front endpaper 'To Winnie An aid to convaliscence (sic) with love from . June 1926'. Internally, firmly bound. Slight offsetting to the endpapers. Pages are generally bright. Occasional spots to pages. Very Good.
